We spend a third of our life sleeping. But we don’t spend nearly that much time studying sleep or its effects. And in a college environment, sleep is an even more expendable commodity. So what happens when you stay up for long periods of time and deprive our bodies of sleep? And how important is sleep for our present and future health? Wide Awake is an exploration into the social and medical impacts of sleep loss, while at the same time providing a humorous look at the downward slide of one student’s life as he tries to stay awake for 72 hours.
